Chelsea Photo Gallery
The community of Chelsea (Quebec) hosted the Whitehorse skiers from February 14-21, 2007. Chelsea is located 15 kilometers from Ottawa and has a population of approximately 7000 people. The parents and children from the Chelsea Nordiq organized a fantastic week of activities for our group.
Some of the highlights included:
- • Staying with a Chelsea family and making new friends
- • Cross-country skiing n Gatineau Park
- • Visiting the Parliment Buildings
- • Skating on the Rideau Canal
- • Touring the Canadian Museum of Civilization
- • Sleep Over at the Museum of Science and Technology
- • Participating in the Keskinata Loppet

Whitehorse hosted the Chelsea skiers from March 21-28, 2007. The parents and children from the Whitehorse Cross-Country Skiing put together a great week of activites and adventures for their new friends from Chelsea.
Some of the highlights included:
- • Showing Chelsea our community and exploring our ski culture
- • Ski orienteering on the trails at Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre
- • Playing games and swimming at the Canada Games Centre
- • Gold panning at the MacBride Museum
- • Doing ballet on skiis
- • Skiing in the Buckwheat Ski Class
- • Dog mushing at Lorne Mountain Community Centre
- • Tobogganing at the Carcross Desert
- • Skiing from Fish Lake to Mount McIntryre Recreation Centre
